SVL was created by two sisters, Mery and Jeanina. Both were born and raised in beautiful Costa Rica and now reside in United States. Having learned a second language inspired Mery and Jeanina to pursue their career in language teaching.They are both certified Spanish teachers with years of experience in teaching and private tutoring. Having children of their own, they see the necessity and importance of teaching young children the language. Their experience in both the school settings and personal lives has helped them shape their teaching methods.

Mery
A certified K-12 Spanish Education Teacher. She teaches High School Spanish grades 9-12. In her career, she has developed curriculum and has implemented different teaching methods to promote communication. She earned a double major degree in Secondary Education and Spanish. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching Spanish.
Jeanina
Jeanina
A certified K-12 Spanish Education teacher. She teaches elementary school grades K-5. She has experience of different levels of Spanish using the Spanish immersion approach. Before becoming a teacher, Jeanina earned her degree as a journalist in her native country, Costa Rica.
